I worked with children since the age of 18, and after graduating in 2017 I began teaching preschool. During my time as an early childhood educator, I was inspired to begin an early childhood initiative. Along with my best friend, Daniela Rodriguez, I co-founded A Nurturing Village. This initiative focuses on teaching the community about early childhood, rooted in social justice and mental health, in the hopes of creating a more nurturing community for children to grow up in, and former children to heal in.

About a year ago I opened up my own small business where I sell my art. My art is rooted in self-love, radical queer poltics and morals, and the power of gentle but fierce design. In my art, I explore digital design, illustration, and craft. When the pandemic hit I chose to make a career change and embraced my self-taught skills in social media management and graphic design. Currently, I am a social media manager and consultant as well as a freelance designer.

Today, I reside in the Bronx with my partner and my cat.  I am a Libra sun, Pisces moon, and Taurus rising. I love floral and bright colors, fashion, dancing, and food!

About Me

I was born in Trujillo, Peru in 1988 and would migrate to the United States in 1993, a few years after my parents' forced migration. I grew up in Stamford, CT with my immediate family; I attended preschool through high school there.

After high school, I attended Norwalk Community College and graduated with an A.S. in Early Childhood Education and Graphic Design. I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and a B.A. in Psychology, as well as a M.S. in Bilingual Education and Multicultural Studies. In 2011 I joined CT Students for a Dream and was able to develop my skills in facilitation, youth development, administration, and leadership. In 2020 I supported in founding the CT UndocuFund in response to the Covid 19 Pandemic.
